Winter Storm Jonas

I think both the kids and I would have enjoyed this blizzard more if Erik had been in town. He was in Norway for about two weeks, so we were forced to weather the storm without him.

It was certainly a lot of wind and snow, and I had zero desire to be out in it, but when all the neighbor kids ventured out to play in it, we did too. (Ginny woke me up fully dressed and bundled at 7 AM Saturday morning to beg me to take them outside.)

I didn't get my phone out during the blizzard because it was too windy and wet, so you get to enjoy the two-day-after pictures. (We didn't get out the next day because it was Sunday and church was cancelled, so we sat home in our jammies and made cookies and valentines. . . )

A good portion of the 26 inches of snow is now melted, because the last few days have been in the 40s. I don't mind it melting, though. It's really only fun the first couple of days, and then I am happy to have it gone! :)

This is what our window looked like at the end of the blizzard:

So much fun. . .
