The school year is finally over! Being in school until the end of June still feels really wrong to me, but they made it through just in time for the heat wave. I am currently sitting in front of our Window A/C cooling off, so I thought it would be a good chance to catch up on the last couple of weeks. Here's what we've been up to:
| Isaac's teacher sent me this class photo. He had a great kindergarten class! |
| Isaac's end of year Kindergarten Picnic! |
| Also at the end of year picnic. It was also his first chance to ride a school bus, and he loved getting to spend the entire school day at a fun park! |
| Ezra's teacher just sent me this picture that she took at the beginning of the school year. The main difference between then and now is that he now has two brand new front teeth! |
| Isaac, getting ready for his Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony! |
| Here he is waiting to bring in the flag for the Pledge of Allegiance. |
| He was excited to be a part of the flag procession. |
| Here he is performing with his class. I was pretty far in the back so I didn't get any good pictures. |
| Last Day of School!!! Their principal kindly canceled uniforms for the last week of school, and they loved getting to wear whatever they wanted for a few days. :) |
| And we started our summer off right with an injury. On the first day of summer break, I took the kids to Governor's Island with some friends. About halfway through the day, Isaac got something in his eye that scratched his cornea. He was pretty miserable for a day or two. |
| The ophthalmologist patched it up for him because it was so painful and so light-sensitive. Luckily, after just a day of wearing the patch and putting in some eye cream, he was feeling much better! |
It took us looking at seven or eight different stores in our neighborhood before we finally found Erik's birthday cereal of choice, but we did it! The kids were very excited that we found some in time for his birthday which is coming up soon!
We are looking forward to the 4th of July, Erik's birthday and mine, and then the kids will be flying out to Utah next week! We are so excited to see everyone and get going on all of our fun summer plans!
