The Latest

This is just a catch-up post really. This picture is Isaac and Mari eating banana pudding (and chocolate-banana pudding) at Magnolia bakery. Yummy!

And Ezra was so proud of his magnatile creation! These toys are the best--my kids love them, and I actually like to play with them, too. :)

This is Tenzin, the little girl we had staying with us. Her mom is still in the hospital, but Tenzin's aunt and uncle reached out to us on Friday and let us know they were ready to take her in. So we picked her up from school for the last time on Friday and took her to her uncle. She and my kids were all pretty sad. They'd had a great time with their week and a half long sleepover. I was sad, too, but it's been nice not to have such a busy afternoon. When I spoke with her uncle today, he said Tenzin had adjusted well, and that her mom is doing a little better. Thank you to everyone who sent packages that included things for Tenzin. I have made arrangements with her uncle to get them to her, and she is going to love them!

Here are the kids in their new Easter clothes. I let them wear them a week early, since we are going to be out of town next week and I don't want to bring the nicest church clothes to travel in!

Isaac really wanted me to get a picture of his sun-blanket. I still have no idea why he calls it that.

When Ginny was putting away her pile of laundry, she told me she thought this must be a world-record for how many clothes she had to put away. So we took a picture to add to our family record book. :)

And while I was trying to take Ginny's picture, Isaac jumped right in front of the camera and photo-bombed. Such a stinker!

In other events, Ezra learned some great new vocabulary at the park last week. (The F word. Ugh. I was hoping to wait at least a few more years before someone picked that one up.)

Isaac got deposited on my lap yesterday during sharing time for being a stinker. It's no fun sitting in the back with mom, though, so he walked back up to his teacher, let out a sigh, and said "I will be reverent this time." Then he plopped himself back down in his chair like a martyr. It was pretty funny to watch. He was more reverent the second go-around.
